Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

We spent the weekend in Iowa, Wisconsin and Minnesota.  This could have been the coldest weekend we would experience all year but instead it was all kinda balmy and warm! haha!  After coming from Florida in October we were sure to be smacked by the cold winter winds but alas we walked away unscathed in our tee shirts!

Friday we played at the APCA Showcase for college student activities students in the midwest who are looking at bands/comedians/magicians/speakers to come to their school. We ripped through a 15 minute set of Limited Time, For What it’s Worth and Sunlight.  It was so much fun to just give them a high energy rocking mini-show and see the students turn from skeptical to ecstatic by the end.  We had a lot of fun meeting so many of the students afterwards and really would love the opportunity to bring the full show to their colleges.  Hopefully in 2010 we’ll be there!

Saturday we were in Green Bay, WI. We had played a show there a few months ago opening for Remedy Drive. This time we headlined and were so excited to see almost 200 people come to see just us.  (By the way call into Q90 FM and request Sunlight to be played!)

Many friends from Lifest Festival were there too.  Great show and then afterwards we stayed up to 3 am at our friend’s house, the Minks.  Jill Minks is a professional hairstylist and gave everyone a haircut at her house!  Here is a pic of Matthew…

Sunday we played in Willmar, MN to benefit Hope Pregnancy Center.  That was a great night in Willmar (WILL-mer) and we played to many new faces.  A good cause too! Hopefully we’ll be back there at Sonshine Festival next summer.
Monday we had an early morning to the Twin Cities (Minneapolis) to play at North Central University’s Chapel Service.  800 or so students packed in there to sing their voices out! That was a good way to kick off the week!  They then gathered around us and prayed for us after we played too!  We had lunch with some music students and Steve Cook (UG Records) who now teaches there.  The concert at night was special too and we saw many family, friends from the area come out.

We also played at MVNU (Mount Vernon Nazarene University) to a packed house in the Student Union on Monday night.  Quite a sweet campus and community.   Last night we were in Rockford, IL at Harvest Bible Chapel.  We played for a while that night and were impressed by the staff and the members there.  We can’t wait to partner with them again!

Just pulled up to ZEKE’s in Iowa and there is a Vietnamese restaurant next door, and a GELATO/coffeehouse too.. wow… location location location! love it!
